Taylor Swift pressed sexual assault charges against DJ David Mueller who groped her at a photo shoot. That in itself is not remarkable unless you know that most women are groped and they don’t fight back. They take the blame for it because, well, they’re women. In the trial, Swift was aggressive and straightforward in her testimony. She said after the trial, "I want to thank Judge William J. Martinez and the jury for their careful consideration, my attorneys Doug Baldridge, Danielle Foley, Jay Schaudies and Katie Wright for fighting for me and anyone who feels silenced by a sexual assault, and especially anyone who offered their support throughout this four-year ordeal and two-year long trial process." Swift was not silent. She spoke forcefully and right away although the process took forever. Contrast that with Hillary Clinton’s book selling circuit as she makes the rounds second guessing her failed campaign for president. What was she supposed to do when trump overflowed his podium and loomed over her during the debate? What could she do to fight back against this big bully? I saw her lamenting on TV one night and thought that I might buy her a custom made inspirational engraved bracelet. It would say WWTSD? What Would Taylor Swift Do?
